Displays Beyond Conventional
Even seemingly conventional displays can deliver advantages and nuances when D3 is on the scene — such as two identical large-format LED displays in Birmingham, England for Ocean Outdoor.
D3 installed a pair of LED displays on Broad Street, a high-traffic thoroughfare in Birmingham. We secured them on opposite sides of a pedestrian bridge linking the Hyatt Hotel and the International Convention Centre. Suspended seven meters above flowing traffic, the 6 meter x 4 meter portrait displays are comprised of a total of 432 D3® XVIEW® Dynamic LED Displays XB10SMD modules. To help ensure that messages are received by drivers and pedestrians, each display has a unique patented louver design that provides extreme viewing angles to the audience below regardless of their positions and perspectives.
Above the Traffic
Broad Street has four main roads leading into it, which together bring a combined average daily traffic count of over 133,700 vehicles (according to the UK Department for Transport).
Recognizing the noteworthy number of eyes that would view their brand messaging, Heinz, Coca-Cola, Stella Artois, 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures, and Samsung were among the first to advertise on the displays.
