D3 was part of a select team responsible for transforming the iconic broadcast studio at Rockefeller Center in just 30 days.

NEW YORK (Sept. 16, 2013) D3, a global technology company that designs, engineers and manufactures turnkey LED display and lighting solutions, introduced four custom high    resolution indoor LED displays today in New York City as part of a live on-air unveiling of the newly redesigned Studio 1A, home of NBC’s nationally syndicated “TODAY” morning show.

Led by the vision of set designer Jeremy Conway, D3 was an integral member of a select team responsible for transforming the iconic broadcast studio at Rockefeller Center in just 30 days—complete with moving set pieces and the very latest in digital media technology. The Company was tasked with delivering custom, indoor high resolution LED display solutions that would integrate with and enrich Studio 1A broadcast systems, stand up to high definition cameras, present seamless content to viewers watching at home, and create defined production areas within the studio.

"After choosing D3 to provide the displays we installed in the window space of the TODAY studio at Rockefeller Center last year, it was an easy choice to include them in my design plans for the new interior TODAY studios – in fact, they were my first stop,” said Jeremy Conway, TODAY set designer.

D3’s high resolution solutions for Studio 1A include a 1.9mm LED display for the “living room” interview area that is retractable, curved 2.5mm LED display video header, 2.5mm LED column display, and—one of the most unique features—a modular 1.9mm LED window display that can separate into six individual panels that can each rotate 180 degrees.

With his 20+ years of broadcast and television experience, D3 Managing Partner Meric Adriansen and a team of engineers and technicians delivered a high resolution LED display system that integrates seamlessly with the redesigned set and enhanced technology features at Studio 1A.

“What makes D3 stand out for me is their understanding of broadcast technology and their ability to use this asset to the client’s benefit,” said Conway. “From sales and support to system design and integration, all of their work is first-rate. They are great team builders and a pleasure to work with.”
